Sarah & Ian at their Blue Heron Herbary wedding on Sauvie Island

Meet Sarah & Ian. They married on Sauvie Island, at the super fun Blue Heron Herbary. They dressed up and got dolled up downtown portland, at The Governor's penthouse first, but then travelled to the island for their country wedding. She is sister to one of our favorite grooms ever from last season. This wedding was not only special to them, it was special to us as well! It was a a sort of mini reunion of sorts for us and her family... loved seeing everyone again!! Most everything was DIY in this wedding, from the muddlers as favors, to the flowers, to the wooden signs, to the delicious cake, and the wall of frames, too. The day started off super hot, with temperatures in the 90s, but then... the sun set and it was colorful and beautiful! Loved the wedding! Thank you Sarah & Ian for being so awesome! (Hi mom!!) ;)

The Howell Territorial Park Wedding Day of Marie and Jason

Marie & Jason's wedding day was this past Sunday August 12th, 2012. It was one of the hottest day of the summer AND it was the third wedding in a row (within that weekend) for us here at MoscaPhoto. It really helped us keep the energy up and be inspired to shoot, after meeting these two. We hadn't met before their day... but on the day of their wedding, we knew everything was going to be great. We had so much in common when it came to how they met and what they felt about one another... we really hit it off which is SO wonderful! 

Things started a few hours late that Sunday morning, because some guests were caught off guard from a bicycling event in Portland that had closed down all of the bridges to car traffic (Portland's Bridge Paddle Event). Eventually, bride and guests and bridal party, arrived and everything went off without a hitch! Delicious mobile BBQ caterers, gorgeous florals by Floral Designs by Alicia, a fun country-chic park setting nestled in a grove of trees, and lot's of family bonding. We had a blast! Here is a quick sneak peek of their day.
