Our bride & groom planked on their engagement session. HA!

Why not, right? I mean, everyone is doing it everywhere lately :) Apart from being goofy, funny, fun, dance-freaks, and awesome to be around, our good friends Sarah & Mikey (and Dexter-dog!) met with us at Washington Park Rose Garden today. These two have been friends of ours for years and when they announced their engagement, we couldn't be more happy! It will be fun being the photographers for a party-event with many of our same friends... versus actually partying ourselves :-D Our friends The Quick & Easy Boys will be playing live at the reception and Jimmy (the lead guitar) is Mikey's best man. This will be an awesome wedding, close to our hearts. We love you two and can't wait for August!

Roses and Gardens. Portland at its best.

The Rose Garden (Washington Park) is beautiful. Especially when the sky is slightly overcast and when there are hardly any people around. Last year, we visited it right after sunset, since it's so close to where MoscaPhoto lives :) and played around with our new nikon 85mm 1.4 and a 24mm 1.4 too. Just those two lenses, nothing more. Portland is so pretty! ;)

They will not be getting married here in Portland, but they did get engaged here, and at the Rose Garden to boot!

What better place to take their engagement photos but in the very place where their wedding story officially began? They'll have so many colorful and memorable images to take back with them to their family and friends in the Midwest!

The day was lovely! A light rain, umbrellas, blooming roses and some autumn leaves too...

Yay for Oregon fall weather! :)

Rebecca and David are SO sweet!


They are to be married at Mt Hood Organic Farms in Mt Hood, Oregon, on June 19th 2010. We can't wait! (Here is a {vendor spotlight} blog post we wrote up a few weeks ago of the farms... so beautiful!).


They were adamant about blooming trees in a park somewhere in Portland... after phone calls and web surfing and consulting with my photographer friends... we ended up meeting at Hoyt Arboretum and then ending the session at the main staircase entrance of Washington Park.


Boy did we find blooms! The Magnolia Trail was beautiful and the perfume in the air was so fresh!
