{Wedding!} Anna & Daniel. Peninsula Park and Bridgeport Brewery wedding day!

Peninsula Park is a lovely rode garden park in North Portland. It has historic value and its manicured to perfection. On this particular day, the roses were blooming, the fountain was flowing and the hedges were bright green and perfectly trimmed. What a beautiful place for a sweet, little, cozy, closest-family-and-friends-only wedding!

Here are Anna & Danny's engagement photos, show a few months ago at the equally as lovely Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens in SE Portland. Since that day, Josh and I had been waiting for the actual wedding day to come. Both are successful in their jobs, in love with one another and surrounded by some of the sweetest family and friends to date.

After the park, we headed to the Pearl District, downtown Portland, for the reception at Bridgeport Brewery. The beer was flowing, the food was yummy and the DJ kept the party going for hours! Lots of dancing and plain 'ol FUN!

Lacey & Jonathan are AMAZING people!

-Engagement Session & Wedding-

They found us, we bonded, we photographed them, we had dinner and brunch for fun, we photographed their wedding this past July 24th and we genuinely LOVE THEM!

There are not enough words to describe how AMAZING and TALENTED Alice and Josh (Mosca Photo) are! From the moment you meet them, it's obvious they are a wedding photography dream team! 

Alice and Josh have an incredible ability to sense and capture the exact style of photography their clients want. They don't just photograph people, they capture moments. Each couple and wedding is sincerely important to them and their passion for their work is inspiring. In addition to being extremely gifted photographers, they are the sweetest, nicest, funniest, most professional people you will meet! 

Throughout our wedding planning process, Alice and Josh, have also become our friends! We met them several times in between our engagement session and the wedding just to spend time together. (This is not uncommon for Mosca and their couples) It is so easy to be comfortable with the cameras on your wedding day when you have friends behind the lenses. 

We had so many compliments from wedding party members and wedding guests about their ability to engage with guests while at the same time go unnoticed. My husband and I look forward to spending more time with Alice and Josh and can't wait for the day they photograph our future children and our family sessions. Thank you Alice and Josh for being the kind of wedding vendor brides and grooms hope for, we feel so lucky to have met you, and want you to know you helped make our wedding day dreams come true! A Product We Love: Wedding Guest Book!

I love designing these... and love seeing it filled in with wedding guests' words of wisdom and of congratulations during the wedding!

This particular book is a very large 13x11 inches, hardcover, 40 pages and containing 60 images. Yep! Its a big one! ;) After all... we photographed 3 separate engagement sessions with them with lots of photos to choose from! Regular guest books are 8x10 inches in size which is plenty large for those couples who had one engagement session.

{Engagement!} Karen & James (and Rex-Dog too!) at the base of Mt Hood!

Karen and James (and Red-Dog) were awesome to hang out with and work with!

They JUST moved to Oregon (where Karen grew up) from NYC via cross country road trip, hauling all of their belongings and their best friend Rex and a travelling gnome. :)

Local Pacific Northwesterners may have noticed how LONG our winter was this year... all the way to June, we were in the rain! Well... as soon as Karen & James got here, sunshine! So we say THANK YOU for bringing us the sun! :)

Speaking of sun... we picked the perfect day to be at Trillium Lake! They were looking for a great view of Mt Hood, in the woods... I think we nailed the location! The sun was shining, the temperature was just right, and the two of them were super fun to hike with and chit chat with too. Karen's dad James came along for the hike as well, so we got to meet him and totally bonded, even way before their wedding! We love what we do... so many great new people in our lives!

Here is a preview of our excursion on the 2 mile hike around Trillium Lake. Including Josh being made fun of by the bride... LOL!!! :) LOVE!

{Wedding!} Holly & Manuel's short and sweet Wedding Day!

Holly and Manuel's wedding day is one of those days that we had been looking forward to all year long.
We met both of them back in the summer of 2009, hit it off and remained in contact via Facebook throughout the year. We realized we have lots of interest and ideals in common and feel like we are one in the same with the two of them. 


This past January, we photographed their very urban engagement session, amidst the bridges and on the roads of downtown Portland, by the North Waterfront. Luckily, we chose a rare sunny winter day and were even able to find early blooms... It was a great day! Here are the photos from that shoot!


We had the chance to see Holly and Manuel again, after their engagement shot and before their wedding day, when they called us to tell us they were gifting our services to Manuel's niece, for her own wedding! We were thrilled! We got to spend a few hours witnessing Fatima and Prince's wedding day AND we got to see Holly and Manuel AND to meet part of their family, before their wedding day! 


Needless to say, come July 18th 2010, we felt right at home! Everyone was relaxed and friendly and loving and super familiar with us already, which is a huge bonus towards making our photographs that much more relaxed and natural. We had a blast and were SO happy to finally see the two of them tie the knot, once and for all!
