Real engagement session (Amy & Danielle's) featured on So You're EnGAYged!

Once again, we've been featured! This time, Amy & Danielle's engagement session takes the honors. They are to be married in front of around 200 friends and family members, in Portland, in October. We have a part 2 engagement session planned for later this summer, which we can't wait for and the theme of which is a surprise to them ;)

What was featured on So You're EnGAYged was a Sunday afternoon shoot through the Pearl District, at Powell's books and on the streets of the beautiful portland neighborhood. The rains caught up with us after about an hour and a half, so we ended the session indoors, at Pearl Bakery, with a bloody mary and some laughs. To see our own blog post of that day, click here.

We are honored to have been chosen as Amy and Danielle's wedding photographers and can't wait for their wedding!

Below, is a screen shot of the featured article with our photos as well as Amy's own words describing how the two of them met and how the fell in love and what their plans are for the future. These inspiring love stories and couples as genuinely happy as they are, are some of the aspects of our profession and keeps us going, wanting to meet new people, working on perfecting our art, and being a part of so many people's special day. Plus, the recognition we get from wonderfully influential and useful blogs such as So You're EnGAYged, truly makes our day.

Thank you all! <3

Real (beach) Wedding Featured on StyleUnveiled!

Thank You Portland Style Unveiled for being such a great group of hard working wedding resource ladies! The attention we get when our photographs are featured on their site, is fantastic. They are very selective about what style and quality of images they show on their site, so we feel honored every time we are chosen to be one of the select few!

This time, Grace & Neal's wedding day at the beach in Gearhart, Oregon was the one selected to be showcased on Style Unveiled. The layout is beautiful and adding the element of actual words and thoughts from the bride herself to the post, is priceless. It's not just about our images anymore, but about how the Real Bride (beautiful Grace) actually felt about us as photographers and the other vendors involved. We love it! PS: Grace answered the questionnaire while sipping on Mai-Tais in Hawaii on her honeymoon! How awesome are our brides?! ;)

Here is a screenshot of Grace & Neal's Real Wedding feature. We'd be honored if you clicked on through to see the full post on their site! Share with the world by clicking on the Twitter/Stumble/FB Like buttons and leave a comment too! We LOVE to read your comments! ;)

Thank you Heather & Kimberly for all of your hard work!
HUGS!

Spring blooms! Tulip farm engagement session.

LOVED the colors and the heat of this day! Jessica and Stephen and us two met up at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, near Molalla, OR a few days ago. We planned it just right, too! It was one of the handful of days without rain... which have been few lately here in Portland. We lucked out! Weather predictions were correct and we had a blast playing around in the fields of flowers.

We came across an old John Deere as well as beautiful leafless trees. We walked in the fields and around them. It was beautiful! We really go to know the two of them too, as can't wait to photograph their wedding day at the beautiful Gorge Crest Vineyards in Underwood WA!

Here is the sneak peek! ;)

Engagement session (with doggie!) at Mt Tabor, Portland.

Meet Andrea + Pete and Dorothy! We met up at Mt Tabor in SE Portland a few days ago. Walked all around the beautiful park. Waited for the longer, warmer sunset light to change the mood of the shoot and had a blast! We got to know each other through laughs and stories; Dorothy really bonded with Josh who graciously held on to her so I could get some solo photos of Andrea & Pete... and the day was warm and perfect too!

They will be getting married at Gorge Crest Vineyard in Underwood, WA in a few months. Can't wait for their day! Here is a quick sneak peek of the day's shoot with many more to come ;)

Wedding day on the Oregon coast.

Grace & Neal are married! The day was yesterday, Saturday April 30th 2011. The day after the famous Royal Wedding. Grace (along with her friends and family) thought of her own day as a royal one. Why? Because her married name will be: Grace Kelly! ;)

Westminster Abbey or not, Grace & Neal's wedding day was perfect. Small enough to allow for every single guest to have great contact with the bride and groom, yet large enough to have it be a true party. The Oregon Coast was perfect too. Sunny and warm, bright and practically deserted. From the beaches of Gearhart, everyone followed Grace & Neal up the street, all the way to McMenamin's Sandtrap, for the reception.

Having gotten to know them during their engagement session (red balloons and hollow picture frames in Portland) we knew they would be fun to see and play with again. Sure enough! Right before sunset, the four of us went back to the beach to take more romantic, fun and artful photographs of the two of them, away from the crowd. We had a blast and love the resulting images. We are so excited to show them! :)

One of the highlights of the day was to see our previous bride (and Grace's maid of honor) Katie, who got married at McMenamin's Edgefield this past September 2010. We love keeping our shoots in the family and love that ours keeps growing! YAY!

Here are details about the vendors involved. Everyone worked flawlessly together. What a great day!
